| Comments: My sister is a princess and she had a fairy tale wedding in Gatlinburg. She rented a 9 bedroom cabin for all of us and it was beyond what any of us imagined as a cabin. It had two hot tubs, an air hockey and pool table, video games, rocking chairs on the deck. This place rocked. We spent the weekend of the wedding here. The bride was transported to the church in the carriage below because she IS the princess. We had a catered dinner and music at the cabin. We danced, ate and posed for pics. It was the best wedding ever. And when it was all over, the caterers cleaned up and we hit the hot tub. Pure heaven! |

| Comments: My sister, the princess, wanted a fairy tale wedding in Gatlinburg. She rented a huge 9 bedroom cabin. It wasn't a cabin, it was a palace. It had two hot tubs, a huge kitchen, pool table and games. We used it as wedding central. The princess was picked up in a carriage and the wedding was in a chapel. The reception was catered in the cabin and there was enough room to dance and sit comfortably for over 35 people. Her wedding was fit for a princess. It was magical! My niece got married in Gatlinburg. We stayed in a well appointed chalet and had the best family reunion. It was close to Dollywood and shopping. The wedding was just beautiful and not at all what we expected, it exceeded all expectations. We're going back just for a vacation and MORE shopping. My fiancé and I always wanted a wedding in the mountains and someone suggested Gatlinburg. I thought Gatlinburg was too country for me, but after we went to check it out, I admit I was so wrong. Gatlinburg is welcoming, beautiful and anything BUT country. We are planning a sophisticated wedding set in the Smokies. The wonderful people in Gatlinburg are making our dreams come true. Thank you! My fiancé and I went to Gatlinburg with our sororities and fraternities and loved it. When we told our families we wanted to get married in Gatlinburg, they thought we were crazy. They expected us to rent a rustic cabin, but they were sure surprised. Grandma loved the hot tub, Grandpa took on the guys in pool, we challenged each other on video games. Mom wants her kitchen redone just like the cabin we rented. Everyone said it was the best wedding ever. We all had so much fun and it was the perfect family getaway. And it was very very romantic! |
| Weather: July is the warmest month and also the rainiest month. January is the coldest month. In the winter months of December, January, February and March, it can get extremely cold with the temperatures dipping below zero. Although the mountains are magical during the winter, you should plan for an indoor wedding during those months. Picture saying your vows in a mountain chapel with an intimate reception in front of a roaring fire. Who knows, maybe you'll time your wedding so you can get some outdoor winter photos. Spring months of April, May and June, the temperatures will range from lows in the mid fifties to the sixties and highs from high seventies. Remember that the mountains tend to be somewhat cooler but you can definitely have an outdoor wedding in the wildflowers.
